A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on various aspects of weaning, including the appropriate age to initiate, types of complementary foods, feeding frequency, and hygiene practices. According to WHO and UNICEF, poor infant feeding practices and their consequences are one of the world major problem and serious obstacle to social and economic development. The area included were knowledge on growth and development (5 questions), knowledge on weaning practices (12 questions) and knowledge on weaning (8 questions). Methods: This was a cross-sectional questionnaire-based study carried out from 1st of June - 31st of May 2021. This study aims at assessing the knowledge of mothers on weaning and weaning practices. . about 100 mothers were selected for structured questionnaire method.
